KSPT signs contract with European Defence Agency on GlobMarSit

Kongsberg Spacetec signs contract with European Defence Agency (EDA) on GlobMarSit.

In cooperation with French companies and the Norwegian Defence and Research Establishment (FFI), Kongsberg Spacetec leads a project that intends to develop contributing Research and Technology elements to a European recognised maritime surveillance picture.

This will be done by improving the global efficiency of exchanging relevant information in the best possible way, built on national systems and capabilities, delivering combined roadmaps towards a European maritime picture. GlobMarSit will include a demonstration of the benefits to the maritime situation awareness.

The French partners are EADS-Astrium, Thales Alenia Space, DCNS and SAGEM.
