KSPT MEOS™ Polar and MTSAT at Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization - SPARRSO - in Dhaka
Kongsberg Spacetec has installed a MEOS POLAR and a MEOS MTSAT reception and processing system at Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The MEOS POLAR system will support AQUA MODIS/NOAA/FY1/METOP acquisition and processing using a 2.4m L/X antenna. Support for future NPP/NPOESS missions is included.
The MEOS MTSAT system supports MTSAT-1R and MTSAT-2 reception and processing. A present 6 m antenna was upgraded with new feed.
The delivery also included typhoon analysis of MTSAT IR Channel images with the use of MEOS VimSAT graphical tool and Advanced Dvorak Tool from University of Wisconsin.
The MEOS™ Polar ground station system is Kongsberg Spacetec's multi-mission, flexible and modular turnkey system for acquisition, archiving, processing, analysis and distribution of meteorological data.
